• The cottage is laid out on a single level.
• Parking is located close to the property on a gravel surface. There is step-free access from the parking area to the cottage entrance via a paved path.
• Internal space is level though, due to the nature of the building, circulation routes may be too narrow for standard width wheelchair users. The narrowest points are beside the bed and leading into the bathroom. This width is approximately 60cm.
• The bathroom is accessed via a sliding door and includes a walk-in shower with a small lip. The bathroom is unlikely to suit a standard width wheelchair user. There are no fixed grab handles.
• In accordance with fire regulations, the alternative emergency exit is via the bedroom windows, which guests must be able to use if required. These are set in window ledges 110cm high and 85cm deep. The window opening is 50cm wide.
• The hot tub is accessed via two steps (approx. 50cm), then a larger step up over the sides and down into the tub (approx. 70cm).
• Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms fitted emit audible alerts only (no visual or vibrating alarms).
• Lighting throughout the cottage is designed to create a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere. It includes subtle LED strip lighting along selected beams and beneath kitchen shelves and cabinets.
• The cottage is located in a rural dark-skies area; external lighting is intentionally low-level to preserve natural darkness and allow guests to enjoy the night sky.
